Went here for a few drinks with friends while visiting from out of town. First impression that it was for locals only, and that visitors aren’t entirely welcome.While I appreciate being ID’d while in my 40s, I don’t appreciate the demeanour that was taken while asking.Also, after getting a very curt response of “Guinness” when asking what was on tap, we asked what other beers were available, and got a finger point to... The atmosphere is fantastic, and the live music adds to the experience. During my time living in the area, I visited frequently and always had a great time.
I just dont go now ...... I'm not allowed to whistle or I'll get kicked out. Yep actually got kicked out for whistling in regards to a great performance by a loud band.... At 47 years old I was never thrown out or even asked to leave a bar ever in my life... And I went back to apologize, told him i won't whistle again, it was 2 months later and he still wouldn't let me back in, crazy! Well is been 13 years, I haven't seen him. So i go once in a blue moon .. not my favorite place, I use to work there before he owned it. When it had dirt floors. And you could whistle ..lol
