Take Five: Bistro - Fallon
Take Five: Bistro
Description
Located on the Navy base, this eatery offers decent, familiar fare at a slightly elevated price point, with an emphasis on fast, casual dining. While the food generally rates as average—adequate burgers, shakes, and comfort classics—experiences vary from enjoyable to underwhelming, often influenced by inconsistent service. Several patrons praise standout servers who enhance the visit with excellent hospitality, though many note a pervasive attitude problem among staff, especially toward civilians. The atmosphere is casual and sometimes noisy, fitting a military base setting. Limited bar hours and occasional overcrowding add to the mixed impressions, yet it remains a convenient choice for those on Fallon.

Food is subpar, and you get ripped off for the small amount of food you do get. I would rather starve than eat here. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
**Dining Experience** **Meal Type:** Dinner **Price Range per Person:** $10–$20 **Food Rating:** 3/5 **Service Rating:** 3/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 2/5 The dinner experience was decent overall, with a price point that fits well within the budget range of $10 to $20 per person. The food was satisfactory, earning a mid-level score of 3 out of 5. The service was also average, rated the same. However, the atmosphere left much to be desired, scoring only a 2. While it offered some positive aspects, there’s definitely room for improvement in creating a more inviting environment.
The food is tasty, but is it really that challenging to get the meat and cheese into the bread? Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food rating: 3 Service rating: 3 Atmosphere rating: 4
It's about what you'd expect from the Navy, very medium food at just a little higher price point than it's actually worth, to make you think that it's an upgrade from the actual galley food. It *is* strange that a US-run cafe on a US Navy station won'taccept US dollars. I'd avoid it if you can, but the fact that you're on Fallon in the first place means you probably can't.
In Fallon for work? Was looking for something easy without leaving base and Take Five was one of just several spots to grab a quick lunch. Typical diner food menu with some decent looking salad options. I had the Mushroom Swiss burger with a side ofrings? Burger was good but the would?ve been really good had the bun been toasted. Rings were solid. With few other options onbase, Take Five is pretty solid.
