Cam around approx. 5 a.m. on a Sunday after driving several times and decided that I had to check it. No line, empty restaurant that was easily packed at any table when I finished my meal at 6:00. For the chicken roast steak that came with soup (change daily), or salad, dinner roll or corn bread, and choice of sides. The soup and dinner roll came first, very hot and edible. Not even 5 minutes after the end of the two the main entrance comes out, packed plate and I couldn't finish, but the food was very tasteful and all well cooked. Prices are identical to what you expect to pay in a comfortable sitting restaurant, would simply recommend to come here if you are in the area.
Friendly and popular diner. The food was delicious and plentiful. It was very busy, but the food came out quickly. Really good coffee.
The service was very friendly, the waiters were very good, no food was hot fresh and served very fast
I had egg sausage and haash brown with the best cookie I had for ever, and my husband had cinnamon roll front toast from which we had only ever dreamed. This length with her coffee was the best breakfast we had. For this visit and this breakfast it is worth going from Morro Bay to Fallbrook.
Fallbrook Cafe “Disappoint me once, shame on you. Disappoint me twice, shame on me”. I stopped by the Fallbrook Cafe this morning for breakfast. This restaurant is a favorite and their food is generally good comfort food, but I ordered the Denver Omelette. I had one of these months before and it was a major disappointment: dry, crumbly, scrambled eggs with stuff mixed-in, flopped over to resemble an omelette. I wrote it off as a “new” cook mistake. Today, I ordered another one. Obviously the cook had not improved. Same as before. When the server brought it to the table I remarked that I had never seen an omelette that looked like this. She replied that “that’s the way we do them here”. I ate it anyway because I was hungry, but very disappointed. I have heard it said by respected chefs that the test for hiring a cook is whether he/she can make a good omelette. If this test were used by this establishment, this cook would still be looking for a job.
