Unfortunately, this restaurant went out of business and has been permanently closed for all of 2025. I'm adding a photo of what it looks like now, taken on a Friday afternoon. I did enjoy it back when it was open, and miss eating there. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1

I brought my wife here for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Before making the 30-mile trip, I confirmed that they were open and checked the menu. However, upon our arrival, we found the restaurant closed. We waited in our car outside for over half an hour, and I called several times with no response. According to their posted hours, they were supposed to be open that day.

I was greeted at the door and informed that only bank transfers or cash were accepted. A young lady showed us to our table; she was very pleasant but a bit overbearing, as she kept coming to our table, which became annoying. The meal was decent, but some of it was cold, and the banana fritters were soggy. As for the drinks, the first Coke was fine, but the second one tasted like it had bleach in it. When I went to pay, a man who I think was the owner told me they didn’t accept card payments because of the fees associated with small businesses. However, many places like this can usually afford to accept card payments! I won’t be returning.
