if all rooms are modernized, this hotel will be excellent. public areas are very comfortable clean and modern. the restaurant is a first class and the quality of the food and service is excellent. it is an breakfast buffet, but it is hot and appetizing and recharged. the pool and the whirlpool, the steam room and the sauna are all good. everything in all would have given a five-star rating if only the room we had was... What User doesn't like about The Glasshouse:
we were here for a high time. the staff was very pleasant and helpful, the hotel was clean and the gardens were beautiful. the rooms are a little dated and can do with some color only a little. that was delicious. the change from high time to evening was long. the prices for drinks are simply ridiculous. the braut and the tantigam choose to pay the oeuvre for the high time, but they are general members of the public... The chef at this restaurant is truly talented! The ambiance can be cozy when the sun is shining, but be cautious of blinding sunlight depending on your seating. I found the chicken terrine to be decent but not outstanding. However, the steak and haggis pie is absolutely delicious, as are the daily soups made by the chef. While breakfast was satisfactory overall, the bacon was overly salty and the potato scones could have been better. Nevertheless, the poached eggs were exceptional. The food at this restaurant is the standout feature of the hotel, and I highly recommend dining here whether you are a guest or just passing through.
The restaurant has recently undergone a makeover, although I found it to be quite unusual. The decoration and menu seem mismatched, with some unusual items featured. Despite this, my partner thoroughly enjoyed their steak, whilst I found the pig's cheek to be a dish I will not order again. The vegetables were overcooked, and the fondant potato was extremely tough. The biscuits and cheese I had for dessert were underwhelming. Ultimately, I believe the restaurant prioritizes style over substance.
As members of the gym at Airth Castle, we frequently visit the restaurant for both lunch and dinner. The food has consistently been outstanding and reasonably priced. The staff are always friendly and attentive.
This restaurant is great. The food is amazing. It's a little far from the city, which makes it a nice change of pace. The rooms are very cozy, especially during hot weather. I brought my own air conditioning unit to stay comfortable. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back. The surrounding area is perfect for exploring and the spa and pool are beautiful.
The Lock is a lovely destination to visit and dine. Our accommodations were clean and extremely comfortable. The establishment boasts a spa and a stunning restaurant. While the option to dine outdoors is available, it may take a bit longer. The food served during dinner and breakfast was delectable. I particularly enjoyed their haggis for breakfast and homemade burgers for dinner, but their macaroni and cheese was also a standout. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful whenever we had a question.
