What Fern Mason doesn't like about The Canalside:
Staff were lovely and welcoming. Beautiful place to have a meal/drinks. Food was okay. Calamari was rubbery and a very small portion for the price. It was served with deep fried veg which was odd and wasn't pleasant. Chips weren't crispy and tasted like oil. Burger was very pink in the middle. We weren't asked if we were okay with that. The meat and the sweet burger is the biggest burger of all time would highly recommend the service of a waitress especially shannon i think was Sha-mazing then another barkeeper was teri that served me the most important bright idea cocktail.
Just back from our first visit and it certainly won’t be the last time. Lovely staff and great new menu. Great choices and options for everyone. Definitely worth a visit but book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Another great night! the food was as good as ever and the service was top-class (without being overlaid). this device cannot recommend enough. have been several and consistently positive assessments. book them early as a lively Wee place and deserves to be so.
