Dee Dee's - Falkirk
Dee Dee's
Description
Nestled within The Range, this café offers a mixed experience characterized by decent yet limited food options and service challenges. While its reasonable pricing makes it appealing for quick snacks or coffee, some patrons express concerns over food hygiene and service inefficiencies. The atmosphere, however, is noted for its calmness and charm, with fresh offerings praised by a few. In contrast, others have encountered disappointing meals that fell short in both taste and presentation. Meanwhile, a nearby massage establishment receives glowing reviews for its exceptional service and therapeutic treatments, showcasing a stark contrast to the café's mixed reputation.
Feedback
Tried to go to our usual cafe but completely full so because my son was very hungry I thought we'd try here. The woman behind the counter looked like she couldn't be bothered, I felt like she was rushing me to decide as well. The kids menu was not as good as many of the competitors. You get a slice of bread with chunks of butter mashed onto it, with half a slice of ham in the middle for your sandwich, a fruit shoot and a pack of crisps and a piece of fruit, which doesn't sound too bad on paper but the only piece of fruit was a sad looking bashed apple but I was told I had to take so it could go through on the meal deal. I then got myself a sausage roll with barely any sausage it it. So all in I was £6 odds. I think you need to re-evaluate your cafe and prices as had I managed to get a seat in the Dunelm, I would have bought myself a toastie and a cup of tea for about £5.50 and my son would have got his cheese and ham sandwich, a carton of juice, a packet of raisins and a wee chocolate bar for free. No wonder this place is so quiet. Wouldn't bother going again.
The lone server was incredibly accommodating but seemed to be overwhelmed with tasks. The food at this establishment is decent and reasonably priced, making it a good option for a quick coffee or snack.
The café has little charm and offers a limited menu. It's not an ideal place to dine, and the selection leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately, I consider it the worst establishment in Falkirk.
This has to be the worst meal I've ever had, and I would never eat here again or recommend it to anyone. I ordered a so-called veggie burger, and it was absolutely terrible—chewy like rubber and completely tasteless. After one bite, I couldn't finish it. My wife had a toasted sandwich made with the cheapest white bread and hardly any filling. The portion of chips was also inedible. The only good thing was the cup of hot water I ordered. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the food and will never return to this so-called café!
On December 11, 2020, I stopped by for cake and coffee around 3:15 PM. My husband was instructed to fill out the track and trace form before he could be served. However, I noticed that other customers walked in and received service without being asked to complete the track and trace. While we were waiting, the woman behind the counter accidentally dropped something on the floor. Instead of properly addressing this, she mopped the floor and then continued to wipe down the fronts of the cupboards with the same mop. This prompted the customer in front of us to leave in disgust. It's absolutely unacceptable. Where is the food hygiene and the health and safety for your customers? This happened at the Falkirk store at The Range.
