Just look for the pepper, you 'll know when you see it. You 'll say Whoa, hey, there is the big pepper! as a screaming child bursts free from the midway and stomps on your foot. Challenge accepted. If you can manage to weave in and out of clogs ofpeople staring forlornly at the sheep on the right, the tipsy giggle pants to the PRB right, and four fanny packs, YOU WILLREACH YOUR PRIZE! The Big Pepper is a must stop at the Great Minnesota Get Together. Menu items include a stuffed green bell pepper (stuffed with ground beef, rice, tomato sauce and some Italian seasonings), deep fried green pepper rings served with a side of eitherhomemade marinara sauce or ranch dressing and deep fried cheese ravioli served with a side of homemade marinara sauce. Thecheese ravioli and green pepper rings are both vegetarian so naturally I had to try both. Both items are served in a nacho styletray which makes the portion size perfect for sharing. Absolutely fantastic sauce that complimented the food perfectly, I willmost certainly be back for more!
This hidden gem in plain sight is worth a stop. The fried ravioli is amazing, and if you like green peppers you'll love this spot. Find it just outside the horse barns at the Minnesota State Fair. We only wish they had a food truck to share theexceptional yumminess outside of the Fair.
