Mankas Steakhouse - Fairfield

We have come here many times always enjoy it. There were 7 of us celebrating a birthday. My Open Table WAS VERY SPECIFIC that I wanted INDOOR SEATING. When we arrived, we were put in the basement I was not a happy camper. I am not fond of downstairs this was supposed to be a very special luncheon. We were offered outside, but it was too hot. We had no choice in the matter as it was very busy in the MAIN DINING ROOM. Don't assume your patrons want to sit away from everyone next to the bathrooms. A call should be made before you seat parties down there it's ugly, dark boring! Very heartfelt this time. We will continue to be good customers we rarely have a big group....... pl

AC was broken. Outside, flies were terrible. Food was great and could have been a nice place but no hope of getting AC. Had been down for days and too sorry to get some fans or window unit????

Food was very good but the room was extremely warm and made the eating experience less favorable. We noticed that the waitress brought a fan for a larger group sitting near us but didn't offer the fan to our table of 5. Perhaps the airconditiong was not working that day.

This wasn't my favorite visit but I love this restaurant. I will go back however hope for better service.

We were seated immediately, food was good, service was good.
