Cucina Calandra - Fairfield

Friendly staff and good food. My family was 75 today. My mother's birthday here. That's her favorite restaurant in the area. I had the Calamari Fritti and Costoletta di Maiale Savoia (Pork). I will say that the fried Calamari (only rings, no tentacles) was similar to other Italian restaurants in the area. The **** was really good. Amazing taste! Just a small warning for when you see “hot pepper” in which it really means hot.

We dined in the restaurant as it was a pretty cold and windy day. They do have outside dining which is nice (ate in the tents last fall). Food and service were very good. While the menu has been streamlined a bit from pre-pandemic size, there is still a very good assortment of appetizers, fish, beef etc dishes as well as desserts.

Very nice place. Excellent service. A great place to relax and enjoy good food. We had the lasagna and penne, with a wonderful beet salad.

Food was really good. Portions were big but not crazy. Though, gotta say I was upset they don't give out the fresh loaves of bread anymore. Be sure to also stop in the bakery in the same complex

Wow what a great find this restaurant was. My mom and I were looking for a spot to grab lunch and landed on this place and we were stunned at how good the food was. I guess the saying goes, you can't judge a book by its cover. This was really good.
