This restaurant is fantastic, offering an impressive selection for craft beer lovers. The atmosphere and concept are truly unique. As a Fairfax resident, I can confidently say it adds a refreshing option for anyone seeking a trendy spot in the area. I've known Fito and his partners for quite some time, and I always enjoy checking out their new ventures. It’s definitely worth a visit! View all feedback.
What HP M dislikes about High Side:
I was a bit let down by my order from last night. The garlic noodles with shrimp were lacking in flavor, and there were only four shrimp in the dish. The lemongrass chicken was also pretty average. On the bright side, the bao were quite delicious, although the amount of pork compared to the bun could have been better. The pickled cucumbers were definitely the highlight of our meal. Kid-friendliness: Not very kid-friendly as there are no high chairs or children's menu options. Wheelchair accessibility: The establishment is not wheelchair accessible due to it being an older building. We had to lift the stroller to get through the front door and collapse it in order to be seated. Service: Dine-in experience.
This charming Taiwanese restaurant is a must-visit for any food lover. They offer a fantastic variety of ciders, beers, and unique beverages to complement your meal. Be sure to try the popcorn chicken and scallion pancakes; they're a must! Also, don't forget to check out their events throughout the year—they're always entertaining. The Dan Dan noodles are another delicious option worth trying. However, when it comes to family-friendliness, it might not be the most suitable place for kids. Note that service is available for dine-in only.
The restaurant may look like a dive bar, but the food is truly exceptional! The staff is friendly and attentive, although the atmosphere seems better suited for an adult crowd.
Parking: There is a small lot behind the restaurant, but Old Town Fairfax offers plenty of parking options in garages and lots, so you'll easily find a spot, though you may need to walk a block or two. Price per person: $10–20 Food rating: 5/5
The restaurant was cozy, but the outdoor seating made it more enjoyable. For my dining experience: I had dinner, and the price per person was around $20–30. The food was excellent, earning a 5 out of 5, and the service was equally impressive, also a 5 out of 5. The atmosphere was pleasant, rating a 4 out of 5.
