High Side - Fairfax
High Side
Description
Hidden in Old Town Fairfax, this stylish, laid-back Taiwanese bar-restaurant shines for its outstanding craft beer and cider program and authentic street-food dishes—dumplings, popcorn chicken, pork chop and Dan Dan noodles especially impress. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and lively events add charm, with pleasant outdoor seating and a strong happy-hour scene. A few dishes landed as milder than expected and bao portions vary, but overall it’s a neighborhood gem best for adults, beer enthusiasts, date nights and food lovers.

Feedback
Kid-friendliness: Not very kid-friendly as there are no high chairs or children's menu options. Wheelchair accessibility: The establishment is not wheelchair accessible due to it being an older building. We had to lift the stroller to get through the front door and collapse it in order to be seated. Service: Dine-in experience.
The restaurant may look like a dive bar, but the food is truly exceptional! The staff is friendly and attentive, although the atmosphere seems better suited for an adult crowd.
This charming Taiwanese restaurant is a must-visit for any food lover. They offer a fantastic variety of ciders, beers, and unique beverages to complement your meal. Be sure to try the popcorn chicken and scallion pancakes; they're a must! Also, don't forget to check out their events throughout the year—they're always entertaining. The Dan Dan noodles are another delicious option worth trying. However, when it comes to family-friendliness, it might not be the most suitable place for kids. Note that service is available for dine-in only.
