We had a lovely and romantic dinner with a superb waiter, Paolo, who thankfully understood English as our Italian is not good. The scallop cannelloni dish, while small in size, was honestly one of the best pasta (melt in your mouth! really!)we have ever had (and we travel and eat good food a LOT). The chef did some magic with the mushrooms which made them crispy and so flavourful. The wine was lovely and the service impeccable. Highly recommend.
In my 33 years living in Italy, I've never been served such wonderful beef. The costata is my choice of cut, as it has more flavor than fileto; but it's usually chewy. This was tender, cooked to perfection, and far too much for the two of us. We enjoyed the rest for dinner! We were seated in the dining room (we had reserved ahead), which is spacious and pretty. The front, bar area, has a completely different, casual atmosphere, crowded, and I don't believe we would have enjoyed the meal as much there. Service is a mite slow, but understandable when you see the effort put into the preparation and presentation of each dish. With a bottle of house Prosecco, 2 primi, the massive costata, 2 lovely desserts, coffee, and a generous tip, 100 euro was well spent. We will surely return!
Went twice for a lunch and once for a dinner to this cozy family run restaurant. Lunch for 11 euros, with a glass of wine and coffee included was very nice. Dinner was fantastic. Innovative, tasty and everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Absolute delight. Large selection of wine. Service was very helpful and polite.
Simple trattoria at the entrance area but elegant restaurant at the rear. Very tasteful decorated and table layout. Actually we only wanted a small dinner but ended up with steak and shrimps and a cheese platter. The recommended wine selection was excellent to the food and the hostess very attentive and knowledgeable.
This was literally the first restaurant we saw in the small town, and we were hungry so we decided to just go for it. We had lunch, a lovely rustic pasta, we skipped the main course and had dessert. We were blown away, the desserts looked like they were taken from a michelin star restaurant. Absolutely delicious as well!
