Aldeia do Pontido is a great place to visit and stay if you wish!! and spend a day immersed in Nature! The surroundings are truly amazing, with trees, a river Viizela , mills and trails in an almost untouched natural environment. Then you have a small restaurant with some home-style food where you can rest and recharge your energy. This time we had the “Hake with Clams Rice” and “Grilled Beef with backed Potato”. While the first dish was ok, the star of the meal was the beef! Super tender and super yummy, grilled to perfection! Was an incredible day!!

Excellent place for a hike with friends and family (including little ones) and to be in touch with Nature. Don't forget to visit the water cascades and the water mills.
The houses are not the best comfort but are ok for one or two nights. However the place is very beautiful. I recommend to do the pr4 walk around the lake.
We find the place deep in the forrest, it was heavy rain and dark. Nice place and nice staff. Menu on a website. I had Dusty Grouper and it was well done, almost hard, it tasted okay, but for €27 you could expect more. A potato gratin was serviced beside and it was opposite, it should been 10 more minutes in the Owen. We also had a bean stew that was very good. We recommend this place but be careful if you order the grouper, it is a very good fish and it is worth a little bit more care.
