The restaurant must have taken onboard suggestions re lighting as the restaurant felt very warm and inviting with subtle background music. We had seafood casserole with a light curry sauce, confit of duck, steak with fois...gras, cheese plate and ice cream with Chantilly cream. Every dish was perfectly cooked and delicious. We can’t wait to return.

There are plenty of other restaurants with pretty terraces around the square, but this was indoors only as far as we could tell. Our dog was welcome too, and was given his own...bowl of water on our return there from having a drink in a local hostelry. We were incredibly impressed by our food. My foie gras starter was sublime. Every course was well presented, absolutely delicious and the young waitress wafted round the restaurant serving all the guests, completely in control of her job. She was super. This wasn't the cheapest restaurant in town but at for a really tremendous lunch we were extremely satisfied. The chef really knew how to cook.

The restaurant isn’t massive, it has more if a modern feel to it as well, rather than the...rustic approach. The lighting let the ambience down, as it was far too bright. The food made up for this though. Well presented fayre, with the most wonderful home made fries! The house wine was also good, being offered in various sizes of carafes.
