Having been turned away by La Maison d'Amour (a somewhat ironically named restaurant) as we only wanted crepes and drinks, we stumbled across Chez K. Wonderful warm welcome, great crepe and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!
I 've lived in France for 20 years, and know Eymet very well after living there several years ago. However I had never been to Chez K before. I arrived with my uncle for coffee and we sat outside for 10 minutes before the serveuse acknowledged us. She was too busy chatting with her friend inside. I ordered a Café frappé, which I love after living in Greece 30 years ago where I discovered it. At Chez K it was 4€, which I thought was expensive, but ordered anyway as it 's hard to find. The Coffee arrived, in what I thought was a 'medium ' glass for the price. The taste was surprisingly ok, but the consistency not on point at all. I then asked the serveuse for some water for my dog. It was 30 degrees. Another 10 minutes before that arrived. She seemed more interested in wiping tables, yet there were only 5 customers. To conclude. Not impressed at all. Too expensive. Customer service needs a lot of work. And if they are charging 4€ for a café frappé then please make it more attractive! Foam on the top, and a 'full ' glass ' would be nice. I wasn 't impressed by anything tbh .
We had just arrived in Eymet, and were in need of a drink! We stumbled across Chez K which is situated in the corner of a square in the heart of the town. Inside and outside seating, good service and reasonably priced wines. Would definitely recommend.
Nice place on the square to have a drink and watch the world go by. Friendly staff, reasonable prices.
