Nemo's Restaurant - Exmouth

And I don't say that lightly! This place is a revelation: right at the Exmouth dock and totally unprepossessing but the quality of the seafood is fantastic. Mary started with fried squid and loved it. Then we both had the best fish and chips we've ever had; lightly battered and beautifully fried. Terrific. Licensed and no BYO. All up, great value.Watch the sun go down from the large outside deck and, if your timing's right, then see the fishing fleet leave the harbour. Lotsa locals seem to dine there.Maria runs the place and she never stops. Friendly, welcoming and v efficient. If you like seafood then crazy if you miss this one.

Best food and best value in Exmouth (and we were staying next door at the very pricey Mantaray's).Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely Maria. We had a whole fresh fish, best chips, good salad - excellent value at $60 for the 3 of us (plus drinks)Sunset was beautiful and beer was cold. We attended for our son's 9th birthday. Fantastic location overlooking the gulf on one side and marina on the other... we love the "surf club" type feel. Very casual. The manager Maria was brilliant. Looking after the venue by herself. Chef did a great job. Steak cooked to perfection. Fish grilled well. Very affordable after trying without success to find somewhere like this in Broome. Well done Maria.

I am so happy we found this place. We split a whole snapper between the three of us and it was one of the best meals we had in our month of Australia. You have ocean views and the woman working behind the bar was fantastic. Of note, it is far from fancy - plastic chairs/tables and you order at the bar.

We stayed in Exmouth for a week and stumbled on his out of the way gem. We dined there twice, including the popular Trivia night. The menu includes fresh oysters and fresh. Maria runs the joint with warmth, good humour and energy. Dining is outside and casual.
