We were lucky to get a table in this small and beautiful restaurant. Make sure you book as there are not many tables. The place is small and cozy. The food was phenomenal, the service was even better. I can't recommend this place enough. I had the lamb that was cooked for perfection, the portions are generous. The presentation is simple, but elegant.

It's really good for dinner. I enjoyed all the dishes and drinks. Prices are reasonable without tax. I think I'll be back with my friends.

We have eaten here several times for special occasions. Every visit it was the little things that made it special. When we went there for the first time, we took some animal masks with us (like masked ball masks) and put them on the dessert course. Angela loved it, took a photo and even got Richard and some of the other kitchen staff to see. It makes us unforgettable for them (although I think they remember a lot of their previous customers due to the personal nature of the restaurant) and every visit back they have recognized us and always a little chat. Food excellent, local and fresh. Service excellent and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Not cheap (good thing) and excellent value for money.

My fiancé and I celebrated our engagement at this excellent restaurant. The service was fantastic throughout with a very friendly and personal greeting right through to the warm goodbyes. The decor is very tasteful, mixing a neutral white clean feel with local art. The feel of Angelas is very similar as the service is both very professional yet personal. We had the mussels for our starter which were lovely and very well balanced with a delicate sauce. For our mains my fiancé had a very soft and succulent lemony chicken. I had the steak which was very tender and tasty. The best moment came with the dessert. I had coffee with a little chocolate truffle and my fiancé had the best creme brulee either of us have ever tasted. This was served with a lovely message congratulating us on our engagement which was very sweet and touching. The price was very reasonable and definitely worth it for the quality of food we had. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and our only regret is that we don't live in Exeter so we can't go again soon!
