Contribute FeedbackThe Exeter offers a mixed experience with varying reviews. While some customers appreciate the vegan options and family-friendly atmosphere with activities for children, others found the food quality lacking and service slow. The restaurant has received praise for accommodating special events and providing excellent service, while some have been disappointed by the food quality and lack of attention to food intolerances. Despite some mixed feedback, the Exeter seems to have potential for improvement and has loyal customers who appreciate the friendly staff and efforts for family-friendly dining.
A pub with a clearly marked vegan section on the menu. I had the chickpea curry it was great. My daughter had the kids vegan bites. My partner had the vegan burger. Will be going back.
Eggplant parmi was overly oily but taste was ok. Mushroom Stroganoff was nice although needed a bigger serve of rice on the side. Would try the burger next time.
I hate to give average reviews especially to typically carnist places that are trying hard to accommodate vegans. I really appreciate that there are 4 strong main options. My preference was to try the Mushroom Stroganoff but they were sold out (good sign? . I had their eggplant parmy which was certainly serviceable but I’d recently had an amazing one in the CBD so maybe I’m unfairly comparing! Anyway, they also have a mushie burger and a Mediterranean salad. Will come back and try again though! Other than that, the restaurant is family-friendly meets sports bar so a bit stylistically all over the place.
They do $10 lunch and dinner in the keg bar, meals are average on size but worth the size for the price.
I play the odd bit of Poker from time to time, both online and at the tables.
