This place is FANTASTIC. Stopped here on my way back from Maine, and everything about it exceeded my expectations. Our waitress (Carla I think? was an absolute doll, and the food and beer were both incredible. Can’t wait to go back
Excellent service too! Perfect place to sit outside, enjoy delicious food and listen to great live music. Highly recommend selecting the beer flight

Nestled in Exeter, NH, Sawbelly Brewing captivates visitors with its inviting atmosphere and a menu filled with fresh, scratch-made dishes. While the brewery showcases an impressive selection of beers, including unique hibiscus and blueberry brews, opinions on the beer quality vary; some enthusiasts find them lacking compared to regional competitors. However, the overall dining experience shines, highlighted by friendly service and delicious offerings like the Spaghetti Squash au Gratin and Korean BBQ ribs. With live music enhancing the ambiance, Sawbelly Brewing emerges as a delightful destination for food and craft beer lovers alike.

Excellent food, delicious beer, great service! I had an amazing burger, and the fries were incredible! Big thick steak fries which I think might have been fried twice, because the outside was crispy crunchy while the inside was nice and fluffy. Justawesome! My wife and the other couple we were with all had the prime rib which was perfect, and the smoked Gouda mashedpotatoes were fantastic! My buddy and I each got a flight and tried 4 beers each, all brewed on site, all really great! IHighly recommend Sawbelly!
Great and friendly service, excellent food and drink options. We ordered the Korean BBQ ribs and some brussel sprouts for apps, then split the porterhouse. Temperature of the porterhouse was maybe medium rather than medium rare, but the flavor andtenderness by far made up the difference. We ordered the brownie sundae for dessert and it was the perfect topper. Excellentmeal, would highly recommend stopping in.
We came here for the vibes, but stayed for the incredible food! I was expecting bar food, but no, my Korean sticky ribs and octopus were truly top notch! The duck flatbread and steak kebabs were also great. What's more, this place is really familyfriendly- we came with a baby and everyone, including the baby, had a great time. Can't wait to come back and sit on the patioonce the weather cooperates!

Excellent service, nice selection of beers, and decent food. The flavors were nothing particularly special or memorable. However, the meat was cooked to perfection. Overall, it’s a solid place to grab a quick meal with friends.

I'm a former certified beer judge and homebrewer and have tasted, at last count, over 3300 beers worldwide. We're from Durham, NH and have been following the craft beer scene since the 80's and loving the breweries in NH and Maine since 1995. We went to this place before it was sawbelly; they were one of the rare brewpubs focusing on German style beers. That's a good thing, because as much as I love Belgians or NEIPA, well, in my book there's nothing that can beat a great German or Czech pils, or lager, or a continental Dark, a fest or oKtoberfest, Kolsch or the holy grail, IMHO, an Altbier. This is a neat place. Great seating options, live music (which I detest; i don't go to brewpubs to shout at my companions, but in all fairness the two performers I saw on both visits here were both very very good, so I guess I coulda sat inside, but just something to know The food is somewhere between good and very very good, depending on what you get. Great service; friendly, maybe a touch slow. Overall, we're in the 4-4.5 star range. Problem? Well, the beers are absolutely....eh. None of them are really true to type meaning none of the 9 that i've tasted tastes exactly like what it should be. And worse, none of them are particularly standouts. They are drinkable, that is for sure. None are spoiled or have off tastes. But they lack smoothness, proper aroma, mouthfeel, finish. I figured maybe it was me, but I've gone back a second time and tried an entire new flight. Lagers can't come close to Jack's Abby. IPA's aren't close to Stoneface, Liar's Bench, Great Rhythm, Deciduous, take your choice. Would I still go? yeeeah....maybe, for the venue. But the beers do not compete with the offerings from the nearby environs of Mass, NH, and ME.
So much fun to sit down in there and watch the closeness of the crew. Seems like a family run operation. Beer selection is tops, mixed drink selection is artsy and the food menu has different, tasty apps and plates.
Went for St Patrick’s day with a large group. We were harassed the entire time. We were told to sit down and not order drinks at the bar nor stand at the table, we were told sternly specifically that we had to sit down at our own table in addition, two of our party were turned away in spite of requests to have them seated at one of our tables. There was live music and plenty of room to get around so I wasn’t sure what the problem was. Mind you we aren’t a rowdy crowd we are all in our late 40’s or early 50’s it was very bizarre. Will not return, which is sad as we are a local group of friends.
Excellent food made from their scratch kitchen. Fresh local ingredients. Favorite brunch spot with a tasty ****! And their beers are fantastic. Not all IPAs, something for everyone!
This brewery is amazing! We dropped by for a quick drink while camping nearby. I sampled several of their beers and liked each one. The bartender was very knowledgeable and even created a special drink for someone in our group. Although we didn't eat there, the food looked delicious, and I heard they grow some of their own ingredients on-site. We will definitely be back to this brewery the next time we're in the area.
