Pork Chop's Bbq - Ewing
Pork Chop's Bbq
Description
Pork Chops BBQ has sparked a variety of reactions among diners. While many rave about the delicious and flavorful food—especially the Spanish rice and barbeque meats—service issues have raised concerns. Diners report automatic gratuities for unsatisfactory service, unexpected surcharges, and occasional mistakes with orders. However, for those willing to overlook these setbacks, the restaurant offers hearty portions ideal for families and gatherings, with some patrons eagerly recommending catering services. Overall, while the culinary experience shines, potential customers are advised to approach with caution regarding service and billing practices.

It seemed clean and the two young ladies in register were nice. eating was not decent, but it was nothing spectacular. I tried both types of empanadas. that was decent, but both had a high baked meat ratio. I don't think they've been spiced. the hew had a good smokey taste and the sweet were definitiw the highlight. garlicky lightly seasoned, but well cooked (yet crunchy fresh).
Two weeks ago my husband ordered Bbq ribs, chicken, vegetables, cornbread, Spanish rice, everything was delicious hot, fresh. It was our first order, and looking forward to ordering again in the future.
Very good food; but it is not the prices published in the menu after they bring the bill there are surcharges not indicated, additional for using the bank debit or credit card fee that is not legal, and forced the tips without seeing received good service and attention! Do not eat there in the restaurant, they charge for everything!
The food wasn't bad, but the service left a lot to be desired. I was skipped in line twice and ended up being served the wrong dish. While I did receive an immediate refund, my overall experience with customer service was very disappointing. I won't be returning to a place where I feel unwelcome!
The rice was incredibly delicious—I couldn’t get enough of it—and the sides were homemade and fantastic! I live in the Cuckoo area, where there aren’t any Portuguese grills nearby. If I want good Portuguese food, I typically have to travel to Newark, which is great, or to Philadelphia, where the chicken isn’t as impressive. Now that I’ve discovered this place, I think I’ll be visiting frequently since it’s only about 20 minutes from my house. I rated it four stars because I didn’t dine in, but I’d give the food itself five stars, at least for the chicken! I’m eager to try the ribs next, and I noticed on the menu that they offer leitao (suckling pig), so I’ll need to call and check the price on that. One suggestion would be to have someone who speaks Portuguese on staff, which would be really helpful. I can’t wait for my next meal there!
