We wandered the old town trying to decide where to eat and stopped in here because they had a good selection of options, both vegetarian and less “meat-forward” Portuguese. We were looking for a lighter dinner. First, our waiter was fantastic. Second, the food was delicious. We had the asparagus and mushroom appetizer, which was excellent, along with the “couvert”, which was the usual fresh local bread. I had the Mediterranean salad and my friend had the Turkey Citrus salad, and both were a large size and filled with a variety of wonderful ingredients. Definitely meal-sized salads. For that and a generous glass of wine our meal came to 25 Euros. That combined with a beautiful setting in the old town, results in us highly recommending this great choice!

The food was good but does not s... read more Wandering around town in November, there are not a lot of options for an unplanned meal. We stopped in here out of convenience. The food was good but does not stand out against the many meals we've had out in Portugal. Small and cozy on a blustery cool day, the staff was friendly and prompt. The mushrooms we had as a starter were probably the best part of the meal for us while the beef and cod were OK. Portion sizes were large.
