Don't be fooled by the simple entryway. As you step through the plain-looking doorway, you find yourself in a modern Asian restaurant. The menu offers a wide variety of Chinese and Thai dishes. Because Thai is more difficult to come by where we live in the Algarve, our selections were weighted toward that option. Nonetheless, we did start with Chinese starters. One was Chinese Bread. When we looked at the tiny picture on the menu, we convinced ourselves that the image looked a lot like roti canai and we couldn't believe our luck. Well, it turned out to be Chinese bread after all. Good though. I also had their Beijing Soup (Hot Sour) which was a very good rendition. For mains we had a Spicy Thai Stir-fried Shrimp and Pad Thai. Again, both dishes were very tasty versions, especially considering how difficult it must be to get ingredients to Evora. Service was efficient and very friendly. Every staff person came by at one time to see how we were enjoying our meal. We will definitely return.
For those traveling around Portugal you may notice menu variations minimal . Tried the Chinese as had not eaten anything different for a few weeks now . They offer a wide variety of Asian Chinese , Thai, Japanese) . What a great meal . We ordered one course at a time as not rushed and they happily accommodated this . Wine list minimal so we stuck with what we knew was good . Meals plea ritual in size , hot , fresh and very tasty . A most welcome needed meal and would recommend eating here . It was an evening and from the main menu not the buffet .
We chose this restaurant for a meal after a visit to the cinema nearby. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. They all incidentally spoke excellent English with us which was a bonus as our Portuguese is not fluent. The food was well presented and tasty. My wife and I ordered different items from the menu and we both tasted each others meal and we are agreed that a return visit is on the cards next time we are in Evora. For the price we paid, we thought the meal was good value.
Yes the decor isn’t brilliant but our service was excellent and very friendly. We went for the cheap menu options which worked out well, soup or big spring role and then we had a pad Thai and a sushi plate both very tasty and nice. Dessert nothing special but for the price we left full and happy. The home made sangria was also nice and well priced. Would happily return if we fancied Asian again in the area
