Great food, very small local place with an intimate family atmosphere. We got the pork cheek, and highly recommend it!

This tends to push you more towards generic... read more Travelling with a baby means that we were not able to go out in the evenings and instead had to rely on take-aways. This tends to push you more towards generic restaurants with standard food (pizza, burgers etc. . However, O Combinado was one of a handful of good local restaurants in Evora to feature on Uber Eats. As a result, although more expensive than most places on that platform, we gave it a try on our final night in the city. This turned out to be a great decision. The food was really good. Pork cheeks and chestnut risotto mains were both excellent. And I was impressed that they managed to serve these dishes in take-away containers in a way that meant they still tasted great by the time they hit our kitchen table. Whilst I do wish we had been able to go to the restaurant itself, which will always be a better experience, this was a great alternative in our situation. It 's really nice to see a proper restaurant embracing take-away and brightening up our evening.

The food takes some time to arrive, but this is expected and even written in the menu that if you want faster food you can go elsewhere : . But the wait pays off, delicious food with a very nice house wine!
