Good food, good beer. Building is cool. The Cubano Sandwich is really delicious! And the burger was good. Only what my wife said she had changed, and I agree was to have the sourdough that she had torn up her burger. Good stuff. Definitely a good place to check if you are on Whidbey Island. Cod sandwich special. Very oily more breading than fish and no flavor. Disappointed Tots were good. They were out of mussels, Caesar salad and pub grub.
Lovely, perfect even, bar. No joke… nachos with homemade queso dip, carnitas is one of the very best in a long life of nachos. Amazon and broad beer list of Great Northwest beers.
Would have given 5 stars but it took 20 min before finally the bartender helped us. Busy but waitress appeared a little unorganized and overwhelm'd. BLT was probly the best I've ever had and the bartender was fantastic!
On this island we don't have a lot of choices for dinner on Monday night. If Monday is the night you are looking for dinner, the TAPROOM is a good choice. The menu is not long, but the tacos, flank steak or shrimp, and the Fall Salad, served year round are beautiful food. It's noisy and rustic. We are fortunate to have it.
I almost don't want to post this because this place is such a find. Menu has changed over the years, but I found it creative and delicious. Good tap list, healthy variety of menu options, the food came out fast.
