I really enjoyed having a nice lunch at this rustic family owed country BBQ restaurant. According to locals they are know for their fried catfish, brisket, and ribs. What elkarcher doesn't like about Dang Good Smokehouse -b-que:
The food is delicious. They are not set up as a restaurant. They cater for events and do a great job at that, they are just not very efficient when it comes to being a restaurant. Most of the personnel are friendly. It just takes forever to get your food and they tend to run out of food items. We have been 3 times and my wife is yet to get any ribs. Was really looking forward to some good BBQ. We waited 30 minutes for just menus. Was told there were no clean cups to get our water...waited another 20 minutes for clean cups that never came. Ended up leaving.
The service was kind of slow but the food was amazing
Always slow and incomplete service. Food is exceptional, but takes forever to get it.
Had this place for the first time and WOW! We ordered our meal to go and the portions were huge and the meat was soooo delicious! I am very very impressed with the food. We will continue to make this a regular spot. The inside is so cozy and cute. I kick myself for not coming sooner!
Excellent food! I highly recommend!!! I'm going to have the catfish next time!
