Contribute Feedback What My Food Hunt likes about Cheesie's Pub And Grub:
After discovering that a new Cheesies had opened in Evanston, I made the long trip up the red and purple lines to Davis Street to see if it was just as good as before. This time, I decided to stick with my usual choice, “The Classic.” This sandwich features American Merkt’s Cheddar cheese, tomato, ham, and bacon, all grilled between slices of Texas toast and served with a side of tomato soup for dipping. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone living in or passing through Evanston—the food is fantastic! I ordered "The Tenderizer" with extra chicken and bacon, and it was both filling and packed with flavor! Be sure to grab some extra ranch for dipping. The atmosphere was lively with plenty of people around, making it an enjoyable experience. One of the highlights of this place is the old-school arcade games that double as tables!
The food here is amazing. I had the mac n cheese grilled cheese sandwich and it was the best grilled cheese i've ever had. Add bacon and it's truly a masterpiece. Slightly pricy and the bread is a little too buttery, but it's the closest you can come to perfection. Simply a great spot to go with your friends and grab a filling meal
Lots of toasty, melted choices of grilled cheese sandwiches. I had the Caprese with fresh basil and tomatoes with melted mozzarella cheese. It was melt in your mouth, amazing! Fun place. Most of all: Amazing sandwiches, lot's of fun choices, really friendly people working hard to make it fun
We had a long wait for our food and eventually had to ask about our order, only to find out it had never been sent through. After that, we waited another 15 minutes for our meals. The food is usually delicious, and one employee was very apologetic, even offering us gift cards for the inconvenience. However, despite the wait, while my friend's grilled cheese looked perfect, the cheese on mine was only partially melted, which is disappointing at a grilled cheese place. Overall, the kind employee made up for the lack of attentiveness from the others, but I would definitely choose the atmosphere and food at Belmont Cheesie's any day. (By the way, where are the fun chalkboard tables?)
