The purple rice is sweet and pairs perfectly with the fish and toppings! The menu offers a delicious variety, and the service was efficient and friendly. I highly recommend the spicy seafood udon if you're in the mood for soup, and their rolls are just as tasty.
This sushi restaurant is sadly one of the worst I have been to. The seating was dirty and sticky, and the sushi was boring, poorly cut, and below average in taste. The nigiri rice was sparse and tasteless, with no toppings to enhance the flavors. While the service was decent, the server lacked knowledge about the food and beverages typically found in a sushi or Japanese restaurant. I would recommend skipping this place.
Sushi Pure can be hit or miss. Sometimes the food is great, other times not so much. Yesterday, during lunch at the sushi bar, the food was not up to par. The quality of the fish was just okay and it seemed like everything was premade except for the sushi rolls. The chicken in the bento box was lukewarm and tasted reheated, so my fiancé didn't eat it. The sushi chefs were friendly, but there was a strange dynamic with the server and they seemed unhappy. I tried some of my roll but had to spit out the nigiri because the fish was off and chewy. Typically, I enjoy my meals there, but this time we left unsatisfied and still hungry. No one asked about our meal, so I didn't have the chance to share my concerns. Unfortunately, I probably won't be returning to Sushi Pure, even though there are limited sushi options in Eugene.
Delicious and fresh. I had hamachi sashimi and a spicy salmon roll. I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful purple rice they used. The hamachi was perfect. Essence of the sea Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
