Party Downtown - Eugene
Party Downtown
Description
Party Downtown was founded by Mark Tiffany in April 2011 with the focus on serving creative, mostly organic food at affordable prices. The menu changes weekly to showcase fresh, locally sourced ingredients. In May 2013, Party Downtown transitioned from a cart to a brick and mortar location, offering a full bar, a wide selection of local wines, and a farm-to-table culinary experience based on seasonal produce from the farmer's market.

On my recent visit, I was joined by my friend, who loves the tradition of visiting the market each week during the season. I got to taste some amazing artisan bread, enjoy excellent local hard cider, browse through clothing, listen to live music, and much more! Honestly, if I hadn't had other plans, I could have spent hours chatting with the vendors. While it can get crowded, the people are friendly and understanding. The market is more than just a series of stalls at 8th and Oak; it's a true COMMUNITY, and that atmosphere is palpable throughout this gem of a market. While there is a mix of university attendees, the Eugene Saturday Market feels so authentically Oregon and welcoming. I couldn't ask for a better experience!
My only real gripe is the limited seating, especially in shaded areas. I would love to see more tables or chairs set up on the grass. The vendors are some of the most wonderful people you’ll ever meet—so kind and fun to chat with, which makes for an enjoyable experience. I’ve bought numerous handmade Christmas gifts from various stalls, and many vendors are willing to take custom orders if you ask (the worst they’ll say is no, but I've had plenty say yes!). This really makes those gifts feel even more special. Would I go back? Absolutely! I’m heading there in the next couple of weeks, and I can’t wait!
I absolutely love the Eugene Saturday Market! It’s one of the best markets, if not the best, in the area. There are so many booths, and it's outdoors during the warmer months. It really captures the unique culture and friendly atmosphere of Eugene. You can find art, jewelry, clothing, flowers, fresh produce, and food carts. I highly recommend visiting Brett Pendlebury's art stand and trying the mac and cheese food truck. Be sure to check it out; I think it's open every Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM!
What a great spot. Sat at the bar, ordered several items. Everything was fresh and really delicious. Incredible cocktails. Met the owners and enjoyed learning about the food. Wish we had more time to go back! Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Simply amazing. IMO, hands down the best restaurant in Eugene. The staff are amazing (so humble and helpful). The food is amazing (oysters are always fresh and tasty). The atmosphere is amazing (I'm not a hipster, but I feel like one when I'm at Party Bar). When you want a night to look back on with fondness, head to Party Bar and make some lasting memories. Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Kale salad...yum!
