Description

Nestled in Eugene, 1960 Cocina presents an intriguing atmosphere with a focus on authentic Mexican cuisine. While the restaurant boasts appealing decor and an intimate ambiance, opinions diverge on the food quality. While some dishes, like the handmade tortillas and Pollo Enchiladas, received high praise for their flavor, others left guests underwhelmed due to dryness and lack of seasoning. Service varies from attentive to occasionally slow, and the menu's limited selection doesn't fully satisfy all diners. Though not without its flaws, 1960 Cocina remains a noteworthy destination for those seeking a unique dining experience, with room for improvement.

Super tasty food and attentive servers tucked into a chill environment. Parking is tight so alternative transport not a bad idea. This continues to be one of my top places in town. The menu stands out as being unique and homey, and consistently excellent. Service is exceptional. Really like the family ownership vibe instead of all the corporate run places around... Just took my parents here who also loved it. Thanks again! The food was lacking in flavor. It's unclear how this restaurant is considered the top Mexican spot in Eugene, as the quality was much lower than expected. The portions were also on the smaller side. I ordered the Chile relleno dish with an additional taco, and I was still left feeling hungry. On top of that, they charged $7 for a small bowl of salsa, without even providing chips. I wouldn't recommend going back. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
