We both ordered the chicken fried steak, and it was excellent when hot. The mashed potatoes were decent, the salad was average, but the green beans were outstanding. The service felt sincere, and we were frequently checked on by what seemed to be the owner. We will definitely return.

We are from out of the area and saw the great reviews. They serve rib-sticking comfort food and it is delicious! We had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and fried okra. Also the open faced roast beef sandwich. The portions are large and reasonably priced. Try the green beans if you have the chance.

Mushrooms were huge and delicious, had them as an appetizer. Both my husband and I had ribeye steaks for dinner. They were excellent.

This used to be a five-star spot, but I’m not sure what happened—there was a noticeable decline in both food quality and service for a while. Six months ago, I wouldn’t have even given it one star. However, I decided to give it another chance recently, and I was genuinely amazed by the improvement in the food quality and the speed of service. It was truly remarkable. The service still needs some work, but it's definitely better than it was six months ago, and I can see that they’re trying. I hope they keep this cook on staff because if they do, I believe this place can return to its former glory.
