Simon Sushi is located in Chinatown on Spadina between Cecil and College. Steps away from Grossmans Tavern. Decor is nothing to write home about but the sushi is very very good. There is a Simon and he is the sushi maker. two can leave satisfied for under $60. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Simon Sushi:
Nothing special about this place. I had a sushi bento box and I found the taste and food to be below average. It was not expensive and they did give a good quantity so it falls under you get what you pay for. There are many better budget sushi restaurants on Queen near Spadina which I would recommend going to. It does have a local type vibe and there were lots of regulars coming and going so I think that is what keep... View all feedback.
The sushi was super fresh! also the prices are decent. also here we really enjoyed the atmosphere! the personal was nice and the place was really clean!
We were past a beautiful sunny day. excellent sushi. worth a lot. I feel like every sushi roll is 2x what they would get at most other sushi joints. daily specials are amazing. bang for your ass! tasting?
I knew some people who really enjoyed this place, but I thought it was okay. the price is good, but that's quite a lot. the sushi pieces were huge (can be a good or bad thing, depending on how they look at it), but the taste was not there and, it seems, as if they were using regular rice? I have the small sushi combo that came with a suppe and salat (which I am pretty sure some of the salat was brown) . also got the sushi pizza, for the price it was not bad, but taste wise, I guess they get what they pay. the staff was nice when I made the pickup!
Bento box and some rolls from our favourite Sushi place in south Etobicoke!! Love this place!
The portion is big for the prices. It is very affordable. The raw fish pieces are fresh. Unfortunately the rice isn't flavoured at all so the sushi tasted pretty bland. If the restaurant makes proper sushi rice, it would be one of the best sushi restaurants I've been to, hands down.
