**Dining Disappointment at Panera Bread: A Tale of Contrasts**
Panera Bread has long been a favorite for its fresh offerings, yet recent experiences reveal a troubling decline in both customer service and food quality. Patrons report receiving cold dishes, undercooked chicken, and incorrect orders, contributing to a sense of dissatisfaction. Cleanliness concerns, particularly regarding restrooms, raise fears about kitchen hygiene. However, some guests have had positive encounters with attentive staff and enjoyed delicious meals, highlighting a stark divide in experiences. While the food remains appealing, consistency and service need urgent attention to restore customer trust and loyalty.

I went back inside to let the staff know that my order was missing an item. They insisted that it was included in a separate bag with my meal, so I went to my car to check. Unfortunately, the grilled cheese was still not there. When I returned inside to tell them it was definitely missed, the employee looked at me as if I was fabricating the situation and had a dismissive attitude. All I wanted was the grilled cheese I had ordered, but both he and the woman at the counter kept insisting it was in the bag. I even offered to bring the bag back in for them to inspect, and he reluctantly agreed with a look of indifference. I can't believe it, but I went outside, retrieved the bag, and showed them there was no grilled cheese inside. After checking the bag for the fourth time, I also realized they had forgotten my side item. So, they missed two out of the three items I ordered! They handed me the food without offering so much as an apology, and throughout the entire interaction, they acted as if I was lying about the missing items—as if I was trying to steal food over a grilled cheese and chips. This was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at this location, and not a single apology was offered. They simply handed me my food with a rude attitude, seemingly relieved that I was leaving. I won’t be returning to this location again. In my opinion, these individuals should not work in customer service.
The food quality was disappointing, and the service left much to be desired. The woman who took our order was decent, but the man at the food counter was quite rude. My mother asked for an extra piece of bread but was ignored for several minutes before she decided to give up. Later, I went to the counter and requested bread, but again received no acknowledgment. I mentioned that there was no rush and that he could help me whenever he had a chance. He mumbled something I couldn't hear and carelessly tossed a piece of bread onto the counter, exposing it to his dirty workspace and ignoring my presence entirely. He wouldn’t even look at me. While it may be frowned upon to ask for more bread, it would have been simple for him to let me know that they no longer offer it. His rudeness and lack of hygiene left a negative impression, and as a result, we likely won’t be returning, primarily because of his behavior.
I'm sorry to say that I didn't have a great experience at this Panera location. The staff appeared indifferent, which was quite disappointing. While I recognize that errors can occur, it's hard to believe they managed to get the same order wrong on two different occasions. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired, making it an uncomfortable place to eat.
I have patronized this Panera for years. I have noticed over the past year or so that the quality and commitment to excellence to their products has definitely deteriorated..Their coffee urns are routinely luke warm or empty. My last trip to this or any other Panera was because of a Corporate decision to reduce their already paltry bacon, egg and Asiago on a ciabotta. It is now down to 2 of the thinnest pieces of bacon..Their prices go up and their amounts and service goes way down..I have been a loyal customer and sipper club member. They can keep the remainder of my membership. There are so many other places that are creating wonderful relationships with their customers instead of wringing out as much money from their customers and just giving them the cheapest product that they can get away with...
