Just next door to our hotel so we had to give it a try and I was glad we did. Offered a free drink on arrival and the ambience and food were brilliant and the choices amazing and good value also View all feedback.
What bernie d doesn't like about Villa Sassa:
Went there recently. Food was inedible. We complained and was practically abused by the waitress. they also charged for bread which they served at the beginning without asking if we wanted it, which we would have done without if it was being charged to us. Not at all impressed by the waitress/price/cheap food and overall impression was that def will not be returning, even with the offer of free glass of wine! View all feedback.

This restaurant which replaced Kokomo behind The Robin Hood Pub deserves to do well. Italian food cooked fresh served hot and delicious. Average priced. House wine was a good choice. We will definitely go again and would highly recommend. It has been added to our list of good restaurants within walking distance of The Marriott.
Not long back from a family dinner out I had to write to let more people know about this place as we would have walked past without knowing where it was had it not been for Jasmine the host inviting us to go along when walking along the top street the restaurant sits off. The food was amazing, huge portions you will not leave hungry. Excellent value, all made fresh and believe me you can taste the difference. Very enjoyable atmosphere And settling. Excellent service by all, particular mention to Jaz. It was a joy to have met her, she was excellent with my 18 month old son who was rather taken by her and incredibly knowledgeable of all things local and further afield. We are glad to have met her. We look forward to visiting again soon hopefully in this trip. Wishing every success in the business the food and service really do speak for themselves.
We ate here twice on a recent visit to the area. Our first time was for a dessert and coffee only (having eaten at another restaurant earlier) and found the restaurant to be spotlessly clean, modern and inviting. The following evening we ate on the terrace. My friend ordered a Vongle which was not even on the menu and commented that she had never seen so many clams in a dish before. My lasagne was delicious. Good value for money, excellent food and the loos are worth a visit alone!!! My only worry is that unless you know its there you will miss it. In case you cant find it it is behind the Robin Hood pub.
