Feedback
Coeliacs should avoid this place, as it isn’t safe. My wife and I stopped for a few tapas and a glass of wine because the setting looked beautiful. I am coeliac and unfortunately had one of my worst experiences in Spain. When ordering, I clearly explained my condition and asked about gluten-free options. The owner, with time to spare as the place was empty, went through the menu and reassured me food would come with bread on the side. However, the cheese was served directly on bread. Realising the mistake, he took it back, but when it returned it had simply been lifted off the bread and was still covered in crumbs. I couldn’t eat it, so my wife had it instead and said it was delicious. When the owner asked for feedback, I explained I couldn’t try it because of cross-contamination. He then argued that coeliacs only need to worry about eating a full slice of bread, not crumbs, even claiming a doctor friend had told him this. This made the experience both disappointing and unsafe.
Traditional tapas and wine deli. Great barreled sherries and good wine and cheese selection.
