I'd rather not give it a point at all. I booked a table online, which was fine. The evening before, we received a reservation reminder. We ended up standing in front of a locked door... A note at the entrance said: Closed because sold out.
Not the Greek food you'd expect. The portions are so small you'd think you were at a tapas bar. We wanted to try the kontosouvli, and it was a disappointment. It was just two small pieces of kontosouvli, which wasn't crispy or seasoned at all. Not what we Greeks are used to. The highlight was the tyropita with honey, which was also incredibly small.
A very nice restaurant with truly delicious food. Short wait times, and the price and quantity on the plate were just right. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
The outdoor area has been spruced up and looked much nicer than before when driving past. When you sit there, it 's actually not very nice. It has a chip shop feel. The food is mediocre but way too expensive. We tried it for the second time and won 't be going back!
It's a Greek. Correct. But one without gyros, without a Rhodes platter or whatever else it says on most Greek menus. The Eleon is a mezebar, comparable to a Spanish tapas bar, but in Greek. To put it briefly: the food, drinks and service were absolutely impressive and tasty. Fresh and wonderfully seasoned. Strong, but not too much. And extremely delicious wine. We'll definitely come back when we're in Essen again.
