Although on the main promenade of esposende, you hardly notice this restaurant, in the que of coffee houses and kiosks, finally we found it after insisting, and do not regret. the food (fish) was good, the wine perfect, and the service efficient and friendly, portions are huge. try not to get there when an important football game is taking place, in will be hard to attract staffs attention. no complain we were very pleased
During our vacation in Esposende the manager of our appartment advised us to go to this restaurant for typical Portugees food. One of the staff welcomed us and brought us to our table. The menu was in the Portugees language aswel in the English language. after we asked what the fish of the day was, the waiter showt us a plate with fresh fisch and asked us what the cook should prepare for us. I can tell you that the fish that was prepared for our meals was excellent of tast and more then enough. After desert the total price of a very nice evening was very reasonable. Interior was very nice, aircondioned, special place to wash your hands before or during dinner and very friendly staff. I can advise you to go to this very nice restaurant
The restaurant was recommended to us as featuring typical and authentic Portuguese cuisine. We were the only diners in the restaurant and the 'Staff were all watching a soccer game and seemed bothered by having to wait on us. They brought a plate of prawns which we didn 't order and sent back since they had a bad smell. The dish they recommended was literally inedible. There were a couple of pig knuckles or toes or some boney part, which had no meat at all. The rest of the bowl was some kind of cabbage and potatoes, all of which was without taste, cold and again, inedible. We left hungry.
This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel, so we decided to give it a try. It was very busy. We were told it would be a 10-15 minute wait, but it was about 50 min. until we sat down. We were a party of 3 and a party of 2 regulars came in behind us and they were seated first, within about 10 min. We waited quite a while for our food, but when it came, we were all pleased. The Portuguese steak was very tasty, as was the grilled steak. I had the spicy prawns which were just okay. It's a cosy little place and the prices were fair. Would I go back again, probably not. I thought the menu was very limited and the wait a bit much.
