I guess we caught Fish Face on a bad day or the issue was we didn’t order fish but can’t say we were happy with what we got overall. : We had a big beautiful fresh catch of squid we cooked up and decided to get some chips from a rated takeaway to ensure a good feed. Chips were a real let down. A bit dry, powdery and cold. No chicken salt available here I guess can’t fault them for that but it’s a staple at most places). Grilled Scallops were not flavorful and very small perhaps frozen rather than fresh). Twice cooked potato cakes were amazing, though small on the plus side they doubled our order and they were made fresh). The pineapple fritters were also nice. Given it’s a fish and chip shop and the chips were a major let down have reviewed accordingly.

After going through all the reviews, we had high hopes but ended up feeling let down. While the staff were friendly, the food did not meet our expectations. The menu board was confusing, and the portion sizes were quite small. Almost everything came as an 'extra,' and even those were only a few bites. While I will say the fish was cooked perfectly, the rest of the dishes were lacking. Is this just another tourist trap? Service: Dine-in.

We ordered toward the end of the night and there was no specials left $13 takeaway fish and chips). Instead, we ordered the gummy shark, chips and coleslaw. The serving size of the meal was small, but batter on the fish and overall taste was great. Chips could use a little more seasoning. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner

I am not happy to leave this comment but I ordered a dozen of fresh oysters tonight and they were so bitter, never experienced that with oysters before... Very disappointed. Not a very pleasant feeling, especially for 35 dollars. Maybe check the quality of your product every now and then. Food: 1
