Was Anonym at Fish Face a mag?
Not normally one to leave reviews but this was some of the best fish and chips I have had in a long time.Ordered the gummy shark (battered) and chips and it wasn’t greasy and was just the right amount.Recommend this for dinner. View all feedback.
What Caron Bruno dislikes about Fish Face:
After going through all the reviews, we had high hopes but ended up feeling let down. While the staff were friendly, the food did not meet our expectations. The menu board was confusing, and the portion sizes were quite small. Almost everything came as an 'extra,' and even those were only a few bites. While I will say the fish was cooked perfectly, the rest of the dishes were lacking. Is this just another tourist tra... View all feedback.
We were overnighting in Esperance and wanted to eat close to the motel. We found Fish Face by accident and it proved to be a great find. They offered a very wide range of seafood. We had whiting and kingfish. Both were very nice. The dishes would have been nicer still with a glass of wine but it was BYO and after a long day of driving we were too tired to go and get any.It was still a great meal.
Flexible menu, excellent light lunch on 2 occasions, very reasonably priced. It was nice to find a place that offered smaller choices for those of us who do not have large appetites. Staff were very friendly. Large range of fish dishes on offer, plus others apart from fish.
Amazing fish and chip shop, one of the best in the around! Affordable and high quality local produce where possible! Second visit here and the fish pie tonight was really tasty!
I guess we caught Fish Face on a bad day or the issue was we didn’t order fish but can’t say we were happy with what we got overall. : We had a big beautiful fresh catch of squid we cooked up and decided to get some chips from a rated takeaway to ensure a good feed. Chips were a real let down. A bit dry, powdery and cold. No chicken salt available here I guess can’t fault them for that but it’s a staple at most places). Grilled Scallops were not flavorful and very small perhaps frozen rather than fresh). Twice cooked potato cakes were amazing, though small on the plus side they doubled our order and they were made fresh). The pineapple fritters were also nice. Given it’s a fish and chip shop and the chips were a major let down have reviewed accordingly.
