We stopped here for lunch after our tour of this wonderful town. My friends had sandwiches which is difficult to review. I mean a sandwich is just a sandwich. My salad was excellent and the pitcher of sangria hit the spot. Here's to Basque Country!!!!
After our bad experience at Euzkadi this restaurant was a pleasure. Helped us to understand all the items on the menu. Then they suggested a Kir Basque which is a drink made with cider and cassis, a black currant liqueur. It was very refreshing. Confit de Canard and Cassoulet were very good and the home made fries were fantastic. Affordable pricing, friendly staff.
The manager did not want to serve us on the pretext that we ordered too little (for $15, anyway), forced to take drinks. Never seen this, a shame for such a friendly town!
Let us start with the fact that we are Club Accorhotel Platinum members, so we know quite a bit about the Accor hotels and their standards.__The Mercure
To avoid! personal pushing to consumption with a way to make very unpleasant. For example, an obligation to consume a drink while we had come to lunch and so we would eat. This is an example among others. the staff is not very pleasant, but above all completely ignores the customer. In short, this place is to be avoided and it is a shame that there is such a place in a place as a Espelette that is a typical village of the Basque country and very pleasant.
