Very pleasant owners, excellent home-style cooking. Come and discover it!
What a wonderful discovery… a genuine and warm welcome, generous and tasty cuisine, and an atmosphere that was both relaxed and respectful – a truly remarkable and rare moment…
A set menu was advertised at €18, but we were told it was reserved for workers, so we opted for a croque madame instead. It was very good, but at €17.50, it was a bit pricey for my taste. And the highlight of the evening was the draft beer at €5.50. We were in Escource, not Saint-Jean-de-Luz! It 's a shame because we received a very warm welcome.
Generous and traditional cuisine, large parking lot, charging station for electric vehicles, quiet, perfect for a pleasant stopover.
Passing through on our way down to Bayonne, we stopped at this lovely restaurant. The decor, the welcome, the food—what more could you ask for to have a pleasant time? The owners are fantastic! The service was excellent, and everything in the kitchen is homemade, even the nougat ice cream (a nod to Gilles, the chef). Bravo to you both! We'll definitely be back. On our return journey we stopped at the restaurant “La Table d´Escourse” for lunch with our friends. For them it was the first time, but we have already stopped several times in this restaurant. The restaurant has a rural location, also the interior is kept rural, but very decent, very special. The owner and her daughter are running this location, you get decent food, and we can say that it is also very busy, there is also a terrace. an ample parking, and even if you come by helicopter, there is also a landing place. This is no joke, because during our dinner we were surprised by a landing helicopter and the pilot and his co-pilot came to eat. This is really proof that the restaurant is very good, the friendly service and the democratic prices, are at least recommended, we will come back if we pass by.
Aussi bien entree que plat principal ou desset, de fut un regal! The starters, main and desserts were all absolutely fantastic! The wine selection also was great (if you're into France southern wine)
La Table d´Escourse” This restaurant is located next to the highway A63 by the roundabout at exit 15 The welcome in this family run restaurant is very friendly. The building is quite new but the inside the restaurant is nicely decorated in a quirky and old fashion way The service was very good and most of all very friendly the food is always excellent with regular changes of menu most visits were Lunch but also Dinner
On our way back to Portugal we had a stop-over in the restaurant « La Table d´Escourse”. From the year 2011 on this restaurant who is located in “Escourse” (next to the highway A63 and reachable by the exit 15) is welcoming you to taste the traditional kitchen and this with local regional products. Even due to the fact that we had not made a reservation for our stop-over, the welcome was very friendly. On the inside the restaurant is nicely decorated on the old fashion way with old furniture, really very nice. On week days you have the formula normal menu for 13.50€ (entrée main plate desert), but if you wish you also have the choice for a menu at 35 € (entrée main plate desert), this as well at noon or in the evening. You can also make your choice “A la Carte” this also for every taste and for every budget. We had the day menu of 13.50 € which as very tastefully and well prepared and indeed with fresh ingredients. The service was very good and most of all very friendly and it did not took allot of time to get served. This is a restaurant that we fully can recommend for everyone who is passing there. Random stop on the road between 2 rdv, nice surprise from a menu of the day to 14€ with excellent ham and a homemade chocolate pie. My evening meal was cleared. But I was coming home with pleasure and not this time. very beautiful and smiling service. They like what they do. Thank you and continue like that!
