The food here is absolutely amazing and worth the price! I had the steak au poivre, and my family had the duck confit and rock steak with chimichurri. We also had Escargot as an appetizer, which was so delicious. The bottom was because we sat outside, it was hard to hold the waiters sometimes. The Napoleon Dessert, which we had in the end, also tasted good, but the puff pastry was so hard that we had to cut ourselves... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Flying Toad:
We have been regular divers to this facility for many years before it became the flying toad. I like how they adapted to Covid and how the new outdoor dining area. The service personnel need better training and they need a dedicated greeting. They take many chances of unusual food combinations and I'm not a fan. I prefer the traditional tried and true when I will pay $30-45 for a duck. View all feedback.
This is a wonderful spot in Escondido for a delicious meal! They also feature fantastic live music. On this occasion, a talented pianist created a lovely ambiance. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals and drinks. We tried the porchetta pizza, octopus salad, filet mignon mac and cheese, oxtail ravioli, skirt steak with chimichurri, and a cobbler for dessert. Everything was delicious and offered generous portions! We also had excellent cocktails to go along with our meal. I highly recommend this place!

The food and drinks were outstanding, and the staff was very nice. However, I found it a bit too noisy for my liking—but it was a Saturday night, after all!
Excellent food and great drinks… as well as very nice staff, but a bit too noisy for me.. of course it was a Saturday night!
The reviews on Google are great and was excited to try it I 'm visiting So Cal and turns out it 's not open on Sunday, the only reason I gave a no for a referral is so that I could note that when I called the restaurant it has been rebranded to Humsaker 's . I believe the Chef may be the same However, I believe they said it is a new menu. Unfortunately reading the reviews ever single review referred to the amazing beef stroganoff which is my favorite but I never have it so these reviews got my mouth so geared up for this yummy ness. Needless to say I was soooo disappointed
