Best restaurant in the area! I had the rabbit with green chile polenta, which is apparently only available sometimes, and it was delicious. The side veggies had a great roasted flavor and the tomato chip was crispy and full of flavor. Definitely would go again!
Was not expecting a place like this in remote Escalante. Excellent food and great customer service made this place a fine dining experience. Friendly staff, simple and well maintained interiors. If you 're vegetarian, recommend their 'Grilled Zucchini and Green Chile Quesadilla ' and 'Roasted Chile Relleno '. Beer is vegetarian too and they have good variety of local and brand names, besides other cocktails. Loved their dessert. And they were surprisingly inexpensive.
Fantastic restaurant in Escalante. Southwestern gourmet. Came with the family. Wife had a prickly pear margarita (awesome), and I had a glass of malbec. Started with cups of homemade gazpacho. Shared a chile relleno, lamb burrito with chile polenta. for the main entrees. Hands down the best burrito I've ever had. Everything was excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff was friendly service very good. Highly recommend if you are in escalante.
I’m not sure if it was the hiking that made me so hungry, but that was the best meal I’ve had in years. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of dinner from this small town in Utah. Everything was fantastic, from the complimentary cornbread to the house salad with charred lemon, the tamal, and the pork with twice-baked potato—truly incredible. The service was also exceptional. Although they have a small kitchen, they managed to get all the dishes out promptly. My duck did take almost 15 minutes longer than expected, but it was worth the wait! If I ever return to Escalante, I will definitely dine at Devil's Garden again!
