Description

Nestled near the iconic French King Bridge, the French King Restaurant has gained a reputation for its hearty breakfast and lunch offerings. While many guests rave about the delicious meals and generous portions, long wait times have been a consistent grievance, with some waiting nearly two hours for their food, particularly during busy periods. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere and attentive staff help offset the delays, but patrons are advised to plan ahead. Overall, this family-owned establishment, rich in history and character, serves up flavorful dishes and remains a delightful local dining option—just be prepared for potential wait times.

This breakfast experience truly deserves a five-star rating! The food was remarkable, and the service was top-notch. The dining area was clean and well-kept, and the restrooms were spotless. There was also plenty of parking available. The owner took a moment to talk with us, and we enjoyed a lovely conversation. My husband and I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this place!

I went to the French King tonight and had the fish and chips. It was fantastic! Unfortunately, they ran out of prime rib by 5:30 PM; I would have loved to try that.

This has become our favorite spot for breakfast. I particularly love their omelets, and having the option of homemade bread is a delightful bonus. Everyone in our group is always satisfied with the diverse menu, and we all leave feeling so full that we don't need to worry about lunch. Thank you for your hard work in making everything perfect. We truly appreciate it!

Come here often. Saturday for dinner sister had baked haddock; I had the prime rib and hubby had chicken parm with Angel pasta. I love a rare meat and the P.R. was perfect. Came back for breakfast the next day and again was great breakfast. Eggs hash bacon waffles country fries. The location is perfectly located on Rte. 2. Plenty of parking. Staff friendly and prompt. If they have a function going on, the wait time might be a little slower but nothing major.Nearby activities: A lot...Safety: Safely located off Rte. 2 with nothing but woods surrounding...might see deer or other wildlife...but never ever saw any oddness as far as safety goesFood drinks: Great food..
