Authentic Bohemian food, served with Bohemian or Franconian beer. I would have loved to order everything; it's a shame we were only in Erlangen for such a short time – I would have loved to come back again! The Czech man at the next table was also very satisfied, and he should know. :

A rustic restaurant. I go there because I like hearty food. They also offer lighter options. The service was excellent. Its central location (near the castle square) makes it easy to stroll through the city and then end the day with a good meal. We parked at Theaterplatz.

Outstanding food and service! Excellent Czech beer. Crisp salad with plenty of veggies. Entrée was Katova Pecene- beef (Rinderbräten) in a spicy but not too spicy paprika sauce and Czech Knödeln to soak up that delicious gravy. Large portions. Nutella Crêpes for dessert. Entire meal plus beer €25. Located near the train station. Go early as it is packed even on weeknights!

Stumbled across Römming while roaming the street of Erlangen after a long day of business meetings. Simple menu, friendly service, Good tasting food. English language menu was a bonus. Don't shy away from Devil Slice starter. It's slightly spicy, but very delicious. Pairs well with helles style bier. I'd definitely go back as it has that local feel and not touristy.

We ate here with guests who wanted local cuisine and on the food and service front we were not disappointed. My only small issue was the table cloth was dirty and initially that put me off. I'm very pleased we stayed as the food and service were execellent.

A traditional restaurant that hasn't changed in decades. (This is a good thing! . Always great local dishes, and a good range of beer and wine etc. Regularly patronised by the locals which says a lot. I always try and visit when in the area. Summer beer garden is an added bonus.

A great alternative to the usual Fraenkische food. This restaurant serves bohemian food with great flavours, very well cooked meat and a friendly service. We will be going back.

We spent a nice evening in Römming. The waiter was very nice and did everything quickly, even though he served the restaurant alone. My friend and I each had a Wiener Schnitzel and we could hear in the kitchen that the Schnitzel were knocked freshly. It was delicious. We had some Krusovice from the barrel. : The beer garden in the backyard is also very cozy.

Super food, friendly staff, unfortunately at the moment too little Bohemian dishes

A first-class restaurant with super service and simply very tasty food always likes here... in addition, for this place does not speak of changing cooks here but for many years the same two make the best bohemian sour roast I have ever eaten

Cosy little gastronomy

After approx. 10 visits to Römming I also let my opinion here: The food was really great every time! [Sighs] The waiting time for food is always perfect. The host and the operators are and were always friendly! (Also something special is going on.

Every year on the last august weekend, for almost 40 years the poet festival takes place, a good opportunity to visit this beautiful Franconian city once. it attracts numerous architectural monuments, a wonderful castle garden, an intact inner city and at current temperatures an all-round southern feeling. to bridge the time to the evening event and to calm (the hunger is not so foolish at this heat) I will arrive on Friday evening at restaurant römming, which promises Bohemian and Franconian cuisine in the heart of the reach. central is not really at all! the building kais directly at the orangery, the magnificent beer garden under a linden tree gives the view free from a part of the castle garden and the sunny facade of the orangerie. next to the entrance gate, a closed crow lies on the wall and cannot be disturbed by the past-woven guests. to the history of the house you can read: “In the hill of the huge settlement in the “Neustadt” by markgraf christian, built by Brandenburg-Bayreuth, in 1699 the princess house jean verdier built a two-storey house with stallungen in the apfelstr. 2.” against 18 o'clock 30 I am still the first guest in the beer garden, looking for a suitable table and waiting for nothing. in the background is going to be palavert somewhere, but nobody cares about me. after a past I lift myself up, throw a look into an open interieur (cold, careless, little welcoming, dark,) take a few steps into the house where three men entertain very intensively, if not even competition. the competencies are not to be understood. when I receive my attention and resolve the assembly, I ask the people who seem most competent to me, whether this is open to location. but of course I would have been seen, but if there was still an important talk, I will be disappointed. In between, I look further around, recognize another kind of storage space with wires and even more whorewarr, all of which represent a chaotic status openly and more. order does not seem to be the second Bohemian first name. until the menu comes, the appetit also goes to me on a “Henker’s meal (sharf)” (pedger bark with fiery sosse, champignons and paprika, additionally bohemian dumplings and mixed salat plate for 12.80 euro) or a “Moran sparrow” (sartes meat with garlic, sour 50). the waiter is characterized by a burschikosen look very direct, very rustic, for my thoughts somewhat too little sensitive. but perhaps this is because of Franconian nature or perhaps the Bohemian effect? I won't let myself be erased and order something unconsistent with which you hopefully can't get rid of. the white-sauer weinschorle is served here in the large variants (0.4 liter for 4.80 euro) undisputed, but this does not play a role and tastes like nothing. it is freshly cast and well cooled, the high glass still coated. after felt 5 minutes, my food has surprisingly already arrived: an salad plate with marinated feta cheese, as well as roast champignons, olives, paprika stripes and dilljoghurtdressing for 8.90 euro, all served on a large glass plate. looks quite clearly at the first sight, may also be seen as an appetizer or under the rubrics “for the little hunger”. the feta cheese is crumbling, but not marinated – to taste at the dressing dill and yogurt, I unfortunately cannot. absolutely tasty are the sharp roasted, spicy champignons. there are also white spices with cumin, small pine, green bean (although finished from the bucket), green leaf salat, two slices tomate. as it is lacking in taste, I order pfeffer and salt. After a pasture filling the beer garden, many guests are officially enthusiastic about the offer, for the children they can order the Gaumenschinken. my joy keeps in limits. I look at a lousy table cloth and feel a little intimidated. the waiter now acts flink, noisy and practiced. the orders of the guests he likes with the floskel “What have we chosen?” the toilet, three steps deeper in the building, is bright clean and also reminds the guests of cleanliness. so complete, this does not fit together with the cuddly, untreated rooms. it has the vague feeling, there is more blinding than it is. is still the wonderful location and the beautiful beer garden, which has opened until October. Here they sit quiet, very shaded and protected, and very comfortable on wooden folding chairs on wooden tables of different sizes. it does not seem to be a rest day and they can make table reservations also quite cheap online (which is advisable for groups and families). If you want to go to the brand theatre in the evening or take a decent lunch during the day, it is certainly well served here, you can also enjoy the reasonable prices. for me it just didn't fit right, even if I enjoyed the lasy gastronomic garden on this lukewarm august evening very much.
