The Mallard - Erewash

Had a great burger with chips and pepperoni and bbq chicken pizzas. Carvery on point also. So nice and friendly environment

The food was great and service was excellent good variety of food selection nice friendly staff and .atmosphere and come from Nottingham and still wanted to come here overall the best pub I've ever been to

This restaurant is a fantastic place to enjoy food and drinks with friends. The atmosphere is wonderful and you always feel welcome. It's like being at home away from home.

We use the Mallard every month or so, usually for the carvery. We were there about 3 weeks ago on a saturday and enjoyed a nice carvery in a quite full, lively pleasant atmosphere. BUT, today on this Saturday lunchtime I think there was only two other customers. There was no carvery, it appears to served on Thursdays and Sundays only now. So we chose two baguettes from the Specials menu. Despite the pub being virtually empty they took 30 minutes to arrive. One half of the order was incorrect and we had to ask twice for our (horrible) gravy. The baguettes were overbaked and very crunchy and the stuffing was definitely an old carvery stuffing ball chopped in two. All throughout our visit there was plenty of mirth and merriment within the kitchen including the f word within earshot of the eating area. We can live with most of that but the quality of food was pretty poor. Quite sad really because something has gone wrong.

That was a busy night at the restaurant. We made sure to order in pairs so we didn't lose our seats. The staff, especially Eloise, Jack, Beth, and Maria, provided excellent service. They were always smiling and eager to assist. The Christmas decorations added a festive atmosphere to the place, making it feel like a real party.
