We found this great little delicatessen. Very friendly and helpful owner so convenient to the Herculaneum site. We bought a great picnic which we ate at the park. He had a great selection of fresh authentic Southern Italian cuisine. Try the sausage sandwich. Also wonderful vegetarian options. Even though it is a butcher.

Wonderful place to get sandwiches and other take-out food for a picnic. We got delicious sandwiches with prosciutto, cheese, tomatoes, salt and olive oil, for less than 2 Euros each. Brilliant! It is crowded and they don 't speak much English, so you have to be brave and plunge into the line and try to communicate. P.S. One translation tip: prosciutto is salt-cured ham that we think of as prosciutto, whereas cotto (cooked) is what Americans think of as ham.

The best croquettes in town! You can come with your eyes closed, quality food and super helpful! Go for it!
