We dined here on 20th May 2021. 1 vegan. 2 vegetarian. 1 gluten free. The waitress took our order. Everything was spot on. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent selection of food (whatever your needs) polite and friendly staff. Lovely decor and very clean. Situated...right next to Waltham Abbey church with it’s lovely gardens. Would highly recommend. Even though we are from Brentwood, we shall definitely return!! View all feedback.

Beautiful, picturesque little caffe in a picturesque location in the city center. I had tee with my daughter this afternoon. eating was plentiful, tasty and freshly baked. quiche should die. very friendly staff. my daughter even commented on how the bathroom was even pretty! found a jewel here. every day of the week a chain café. highly recommended and will definitely return. a must to stop off next time they are in the abbey
Excellent event for lunch. we were after a weekend to house reliving 1066. we decided to stop in the waltham abbey to see harolds dig and jump lunch we stumbled on the tor house at leaving the abbey. we starve at this time and the friendly heart fed and watered us. we saw a macdonalds in the opposite, but thought better when we found this jewel! quiche and salat yum yum....healthy and filling alternative. since we are both just back to work, we decided to buy our package for the crash, as we had no time to exhaust, to go to asda. So I'm happy with the gatehouse is an understatement! Couldn't work better if we planned it. an excellent service.

Gorgeous breakfast this morning in the sunshine, with a stunning view of the Abbey. Delicious food, perfect coffee, beautiful decor and friendly staff... what more do you need!
