We were excited to visit again after enjoying a barbe... read more We have been patrons of Blake's Carvery for several years now and have always been pleased with our meals. We were excited to visit again after enjoying a barbecue there during the summer. However, we were disappointed to find that the quality had decreased significantly. Despite raising their prices by £3.00 per person, they have cut back on a number of menu items such as carrots, broccoli, swede, spinach, and sausages, leaving only a few peas and beans. This was very disappointing and we will not be returning with friends and family in the near future. It's a shame to see such a decline in what was once a great dining experience.

We plan to come back soon as it's being relaunched this month. The staff was very professional and friendly, and they were willing to go above and beyond for us. It's the perfect spot for a large group gathering, with plenty of space outside for the kids to play.

I had the roast pork which was the best pork I have ever enjoyed in a restaurant, very tender and a lovely taste. There was a good selection of vegetables and the yorkshire puddings were a real hit! The gravy was so good that if Blakes had been selling it in bottles we would have purchased some! The staff were very friendly and helpful; attentive without being intrusive. We are already planning to return to Blakes for lunch and a coffee outside in the lovely gardens which have an amazing view out over the countryside. Very glad we tried Blakes we were certainly not disappointed :
