Last time it was simply too bu... read more Dear employee of the Ossenstal, We like to have lunch at the Ossestal, but unfortunately we were disappointed the last two times. Last time it was simply too busy for the staff (the terrace and restaurant were packed) and the dishes could not be served on time. We waited in the crowd at a reserved table for more than an hour for a salad and a burger menu. Unfortunately the same experience today. The restaurant was not full and because of the season there was no terrace and yet we still had to wait a very long time. at 1230 pm with 7 people at the table, ordered a drink, two family members ordered appetizers and then our group had to wait another hour for lunch... Once again we had made a reservation. In addition, we were a bit disappointed with the food, which is a shame. From fries that were too salty, fried too dark, to too much balsamic vinegar on the salad, tomatoes that tasted of nothing, instead of walnuts in the goat cheese salad, a large amount of olives, a sparsely filled salmon sandwich and very salty mustard soup. This was really different before. We made this known to the bar upon our departure. As I wrote, we had very good memories of this location, but the past two visits were particularly disappointing.

However, my enthusiasm waned when I heard someone speaking loudly and in a very racist manner about his colleagues in the kitchen. Out of curiosity, I peeked in through the window and couldn't believe my eyes. The chef was sitting making pancakes... Last but not least, I got a pancake so thin it fell apart, they should be at least 2x thicker for this money. It changed my perspective a lot and I'm no longer attracted to this restaurant.
