The Kettle - Enumclaw
The Kettle
Description
Nestled in Enumclaw, this charming restaurant has become a beloved community staple, famed for its hearty, homestyle cooking and generous portions. Diners rave about the endless coffee and delectable muffins, making it a great breakfast spot. However, the experience is marred by inconsistent service quality and outdated decor. While many leave satisfied, some have encountered unprofessional staff and overcooked meals. With menu prices averaging $19.99, some question the value for what they receive. Despite these criticisms, the warm atmosphere and quick service keep many returning, especially for favorites like fluffy pancakes and inviting blueberry muffins.

Generous portions of delicious homestyle cooking. Be sure to come hungry and prepared to share, as you'll likely want to take some home for later. The staff is friendly and quick!
The entrance is cramped with large plants and a wall filled with knickknacks, making it feel messy and uncomfortable. The decor feels outdated, and the door to the restaurant resembles an old trailer door. An upgrade to the entryway is definitely needed.
**The Good:** The location and staff are great. It’s a charming local spot that serves hearty food with generous portions. You also get a choice of muffins with your order, and the coffee is endless. It’s a beloved staple in the community. **The Bad:** Unfortunately, the potato wedges were dry and seemed to have been in the oven too long. The coffee was mediocre, and my over-medium eggs were overcooked as well. **The Ugly:** The prices are quite high. While the portions are sizable, nearly everything on the menu is priced at $19.99. With tax, a drink, and tip, you’re looking at around $30 for breakfast, which doesn’t seem justified. **The Bottom Line:** I might return if someone else is covering the bill.
Waiting to be seated is awkward because there are tables in that particular waiting area. You 're basically standing next to a table where someone is eating. They are so busy and moving about that several plating mistakes were made around us. Service is a 'familiar friend ' kind of service. Once we were seated we were checked on frequently and the coffee kept coming. The Meat Lovers Scramble is more like a ten pound plate of comfort food. I was shocked at how much food it was. I will probably get two more meals out of the leftovers. The flavor profile needs nothing added. The egg, cheese, potatoes and various meats add all the seasonings it needs, just dig in. The walls are covered with paintings and photos as well as a variety of wall hangings. This is very much a country breakfast restaurant at this time of day. The lunch menu also looks enticing.
Wow. I mean just wow. Bring your appetite when you come here!! There were 4 of us and we ordered two full meals and we all left stuffed and couldn't even eat all of it. We had.... Buckley scramble. Scrambled eggs, onions, bacon and hash browns all mixed together. It was delish. We had two sunny side eggs from our other meal that we added to the top of the scramble and it's how I'd actually order it again in the future. Try it this way. You're welcome. Strawberry French toast. This was delish....I can't have a lot of sugar but was a fantastic bite. I'd order this again. Bieber id order everything on the side because it was a little too sweet. I'd prefer to control it all but that's just me probably because I can't do sugar everything is to sweet to me. Lastly their homemade muffins. Blueberry was our favorite, then cinnamon sugar and lastly still good cherry chocolate chip. We'll be back 10/10
