Reviews - Sweet Necessities
Reviews summary
Sweet Necessities is a cozy, family-friendly confectionery in Enumclaw celebrated for handmade caramels, truffles, fudge and an impressive loose‑leaf tea selection. Warm, attentive service and a charming shopfront make it a go-to for gifts and kids. Candy and tea consistently delight, but ice cream opinions are mixed—pleasant yet not always gourmet, with occasional freezer issues and inconsistent scoop sizes. Despite a few quality hiccups, fair prices and genuine hospitality keep locals returning.

I always make it a point to visit SN after a day of hiking, and their ice cream consistently meets my expectations! However, it seems that the new owners are not quite skilled at making candy. Amazing selection of loose leaf teas and sweets. They have been great at helping to select some tea flavors. The flavors are fantastic! Will be going back time and time again
Best sweets I've ever had. A must go if you're in Enumclaw. Great service as well!
I absolutely love this sweet treat spot. We went there today for our mom and daughter day out. The owner was so amazing and friendly! The price was spot on for a frugal stay at home mom. My daughter, who's 2, loved the pink sprinkles on her little cup of ice cream! We also really enjoyed the macadamia brittle. We will definitely be back soon!

It's truly sad to learn about the passing of the previous owner, who truly dedicated himself to this establishment. Although I do miss the wide selection of teas they used to have, I believe it's a smart move for the new owners to concentrate on their outstanding ice cream. This place continues to be my favorite family-friendly spot in Enumclaw!

I usually enjoy their caramels and purchase a lot, but yesterday's experience was disappointing. I spent $40 on Classic Caramels, Bourbon Caramels, and English Toffee, but sadly, the caramels tasted stale and had the consistency of pure sugar, while the English Toffee was more akin to chewy taffy. It felt like a total waste of money, and I left feeling very disappointed!

Despite the claim, its not gourmet ice cream. Sadly, You will find more flavor in a tub of Ben and Jerry's. I tried two flavors and both were so low key it was like they snuck in dairy free keto or something. My wife loved it, but of course she alsodoesn't like sweet and admitted that's why she liked the ice cream. 3 stars because it is a pleasant little shop with othertreats, just don't come expecting high tier ice cream.
If you happen to be in Enumclaw and have a fondness for ice cream, you absolutely need to visit this place! We sampled several flavors, and the clear favorite was the strawberry cheesecake. The coffee ice cream didn’t quite impress, while the cookies and cream was fairly average. One great feature is that you can ask to sample any flavor before purchasing—I'll definitely take advantage of that on my next visit! They also have a wide range of chocolates and teas. Plus, the portions are quite generous, so if you want to try a few different flavors, be prepared for a hefty serving or consider sharing! It’s a wonderful spot for a family treat, and the prices are more affordable compared to those in Kirkland, WA.
The ice cream was incredibly tasty, and the portions were huge! We're eagerly looking forward to returning to sample their candy and loose leaf tea.
I really enjoy visiting this place for the candy! I've tried a few different flavors of their ice cream, but some of them have a bit of a freezer-burnt taste. It's also a bit frustrating that the scoop size can change depending on who's serving. Occasionally, I get a regular-sized scoop, but other times it's much smaller. Considering the high prices, that can be annoying. Because of this, I usually just go for the amazing candy instead!
